The second largest eco-system in India, Bhitarkanika is a must visit place for nature and wildlife lovers. It represents one of the finest creations ever. A very good place to sight the giant Salt Water Crocodile, some growing to 23 feet in length, along with other reptiles like the Water Monitor Lizard and the King Cobra. Spotted deers and Wild Boars are abundant in the park and can be spotted at all the major locations.. It is also a prime habitat of leopard cat, fishing cat, hyena, porcupine, sambar. Eight varieties of Kingfishers are found here and can be spotted along the many creeks and riverine within the park. A place which welcomes variety of resident and migratory birds.Bhitarkanika is located at the tip of the Green delta formed by Mahanadi, Brahmani and Baitarani rivers.
